To minimize the impact of a site outage, it’s important to design Active Directory with redundancy and fault tolerance in mind. Having multiple domain controllers in each site, configuring appropriate replication topology and site link optimization, and ensuring that DNS services are available on multiple domain controllers can all help mitigate the impact of a site outage. Additionally, regularly testing failover mechanisms can help ensure that the Active Directory environment remains reliable and available in the event of an outage.
